Lithuania has revoked the citizenship of two mercenaries fighting for Russia in Ukraine.

The Minister of the Interior of Lithuania, Agnė Bilotaitė, has revoked the citizenship of two Lithuanians for their involvement in Russia's aggression in Ukraine on the side of the occupiers. This was reported by LRT on October 23.
В Литве аннулировали гражданство двух наемников, сражающихся на стороне России в Украине.

Vitalijus Kazakavičius (born in 1984) and Juozas Samuolis (born in 1978) are reportedly serving in the armed forces of the Russian Federation, according to law enforcement officials.

Rokas Pukinskas, a representative of the migration department, informed journalists that both mentioned Lithuanians are involved in military actions against Ukraine. He confirmed that the current citizenship law in the country allows for the confiscation of passports from those who become mercenaries without government approval.

LRT notes that in September, another Lithuanian, Kęstutis Kvetkauskas, who fought against Ukrainians, was stripped of his citizenship on the same grounds.
