The Chinese Foreign Ministry declined to comment on the presence of North Korean troops in Russia.

The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs is refraining from commenting on the transfer of North Korean troops to the aggressor country, Russia. This was reported by "Ukrinform" on October 22.
Китайский МИД не стал комментировать размещение северокорейских войск на территории России.

The agency notes that during the briefing, the ministry's spokesperson, Lin Jian, was asked three times by journalists about this matter and was requested to clarify how Beijing's calls for de-escalation and political resolution in Ukraine relate to North Korea's actual involvement in the war, as well as whether Chinese leader Xi Jinping plans to raise this issue at the upcoming meeting with the illegitimate president of Russia, Vladimir Putin at the BRICS summit.

Each time, Lin responded: "China's position regarding the 'Ukrainian crisis' is consistent and clear. We hope that all parties will work towards de-escalation and remain committed to a political resolution."
