The Ministry of Defense has not ruled out lifting the ban on the export of Ukrainian weapons.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov did not rule out the possibility of further exporting Ukrainian weapons. He made this statement on October 18 following a meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council in Brussels, with a video recording published by "Ukrinform" on YouTube.
В Минобороны не отвергли возможность отмены запрета на экспорт украинского оружия.

"Last year, when I became the Minister of Defense, we developed a plan for our capabilities [in weapon production] in both the public and private sectors," Umerov stated. "The first step was taken by the state, and we demonstrated that we invested the initial funds into defense. This year, we proposed to our colleagues to consider two or three options. The first option is a joint venture where the state and the private sector invest together. The second option involves the state providing five ten-year contracts. The third step was for enterprises or state partners to offer new financial instruments, such as loans or export financing."

According to the minister, discussions are currently underway regarding clear plans for each country, "where colleagues from the General Staff will collaborate with other colleagues to crystallize which projects we will invest in together with each country."

"We always hear at meetings… [that] some countries have expressed interest in purchasing Ukrainian-produced missiles, drones, and other products for themselves. We do not rule out these possibilities, but I want it to be a collective decision, so in this regard, we will prepare [the project] and submit it to the leadership for a decision," Umerov noted.
