In exchange for military support, Russia is providing North Korea with nuclear technologies, according to Budanov.

In response to the transfer of weapons and the involvement of North Korean military forces in the aggression against Ukraine, the aggressor nation, Russia, is providing North Korea with technologies for its nuclear arsenal. This information was reported by The Economist on October 22, citing Kyrylo Budanov, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.
По словам Буданова, Россия передает Северной Корее ядерные технологии в обмен на военную помощь.

According to him, a military group from North Korea, consisting of at least 500 officers and three generals, is undergoing training at four training grounds in the Khabarovsk region and in the Far East of Russia. By the end of October, the occupiers plan to deploy 2,600 personnel for participation in combat operations in the Kursk region of Russia.

Regarding the acquisition of weapons by Russians from North Korea, Budanov claims that supplies, which began at the end of 2022, have reached 2.8 million shells per year. This is only 100,000 less than Russia's own annual production, which totals 2.9 million shells, as stated in the article. Additionally, according to the head of GUR, since the end of 2023, North Korea has transferred several ballistic missiles along with launchers and support crews to the aggressor country's army.

Budanov noted that in exchange for military assistance, Moscow is helping Pyongyang to circumvent sanctions and enhance its nuclear capabilities. Specifically, he mentioned that the Kremlin is transferring certain technologies for low-yield tactical nuclear weapons and submarine-launched missile systems.
