At the lake in the park of Ivano-Frankivsk, a Siberian Husky attacked a black swan. It turned out that the dog's owner was evading military service.
According to information from the police of Ivano-Frankivsk region, the incident, which occurred on the morning of September 24, was reported to law enforcement by a witness.
At the scene, the police identified the dog's owner. He was a 27-year-old local resident who was walking the animals.
The director of the municipal enterprise "City Development and Recreation Center," Ruslana Vasyliuk, informed that the owner of two Huskies was walking them in the park without a leash.
"One of the dogs jumped into the lake and started hunting the park's swans. The dog did not respond to its owner's commands. In front of visitors, the Husky attacked one of the black swans that was sitting on an island," she explained.
According to her, the municipal enterprise and other park visitors had repeatedly warned this man about violating dog-walking rules.
"However, his reaction was aggressive, as witnessed by present visitors to the patrol police. He assaulted one female visitor with a small daughter, which we have recorded on video," the director noted.
For the attack of the dog on the swan, the police drew up an administrative protocol against its owner. He faces a fine and the confiscation of the animals.
The mayor of the city, Ruslan Martsykiv, stated on the air of TRC "Veža" that the dog's owner was an evader.
"This person today (October 24 - UNIAN) joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the official said.
According to him, the offender must compensate the park for the cost of the swan, which, according to official documents, was worth over 14,000 hryvnias.

In the Rivne region, law enforcement exposed three men who during an illegal hunt killed a red-listed moose.
Two of them managed to escape, while one was apprehended by the authorities. He had a registered shotgun with ammunition confiscated, and the backpacks contained meat from the killed moose. The offenders may face fines or imprisonment for up to three years.
