Ukraine will establish a military ombudsman dedicated to protecting the rights of service members. This was announced by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov during a briefing on November 18, as reported by Interfax-Ukraine.

"We have been working on proposing a military ombudsman. This year, we focused on processing the number of complaints and claims," the minister stated. According to him, they have already addressed several thousand inquiries.
Umerov mentioned that the ministry is preparing several candidates to announce who will be the military ombudsman.
He emphasized that this way, the department aims to protect the rights of military personnel.
