Under the article concerning the proposal of unlawful benefit to an official (Part 4 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), the parliamentarian has been sentenced to eight years of imprisonment with asset confiscation.
The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) does not disclose the name of the parliamentarian, but during the live stream of the session on YouTube, there is mention of Andrey Odarchenko, who has left Ukraine. The deputy attended the announcement of the verdict via video link.
The High Anti-Corruption Court (VAKS) indicated that Odarchenko's defense may file an appeal against the verdict within 30 days.
On October 16, he also remotely admitted in court that he attempted to bribe Nayem but refused to disclose his location, stating that he left Ukraine due to health threats.
