The Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration, Prokopiv, has submitted his resignation following media reports about his condition.

On October 22, Vladimir Prokopiv, a deputy from the "European Solidarity" faction in the Kyiv City Council, announced on Facebook that he has submitted his resignation from the position of Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA).
Заместитель председателя КГГА Прокопив подал в отставку после публикаций СМИ о его состоянии.

"Of course, I watched the first and second parts of the Bihus.info investigation that concerned me and my family. [...] I have nothing to hide, so when relatives and friends started receiving calls, I invited them for an honest conversation. For almost two hours, I answered all the questions that interested the journalists," wrote Prokopiv.

In his opinion, the authors of the journalistic investigation confirmed his openness in their material.

"I have great respect for the work of law enforcement and other state regulatory agencies. Therefore, if they see signs of violations in my actions, I am ready and open to an inspection. My reputation and the honest name of my family are important to me. I understand the reasons for interest in me as the head of the largest faction in the Kyiv City Council," noted the deputy.

Initially, he stated that he was "continuing to work," but later announced that he "never clung to the position of deputy head of the KCSA, so he submitted a resignation letter to the mayor of Kyiv," Vitali Klitschko.

Prior to this, Klitschko reported on Telegram about Prokopiv's suspension from official duties during the investigation "for its objectivity."

"I am appealing to law enforcement and anti-corruption agencies to verify the facts presented by the investigative journalists of Bihus.info regarding the deputy chairman of the KCSA, Volodymyr Prokopiv," stated the mayor of Kyiv.

The materials from Bihus.info regarding Prokopiv were published on October 14 and October 21.

The journalists reported on the condition of Prokopiv's family. In particular, his wife, Vera, purchased an apartment in one of the most expensive residential complexes in Kyiv through her company on the second day of Russia's full-scale invasion.

"Moreover, Prokopiv's relatives own commercial properties in the 'Teremky' residential complex and a house in 'Nova Khodosivka,' while his father-in-law owns about 750 m² of commercial and residential real estate scattered throughout Kyiv," the investigators claim.

Additionally, according to their data, two of Prokopiv's friends acquired several municipal properties in Kyiv under very favorable conditions, which helped Prokopiv and his family increase their wealth.
