"I know that an important decision by America in support of Ukraine is being prepared – we expect an official announcement as soon as tomorrow: significant support packages for our warriors," said Zelensky.
According to him, this concerns "what has been working during these years of war to defend Ukraine and should support stabilization efforts at the front right now."
"The more comprehensive the supplies from partners, the more lives of our guys are saved. We are also working to ensure that our other partners maintain support at the necessary level," emphasized the President of Ukraine.
On December 27, the U.S. National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby stated that the U.S. will soon announce a new package of military assistance to Ukraine to enhance the capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and protect Ukrainian settlements from air attacks.
Associated Press then reported that on December 30 they are expected to announce a new package worth $1.25 billion, which will include a significant number of munitions, particularly for the NASAMS and HAWK air defense systems, Stinger MANPADS missiles, and 155 mm and 105 mm artillery shells.
