Zelensky: The real world needs guarantees, not just empty words or a few documents.

Ukraine requires assurances that the evil represented by the aggressor nation, Russia, will be halted. This statement was made by President Volodymyr Zelensky in an address following the events of February 2, as reported by his press service.
Зеленский: Реальному миру необходимы гарантии, а не просто пустые слова или несколько документов.

The President of Ukraine reminded about the Russian strike on a residential high-rise in Poltava on February 1, which resulted in 14 fatalities.

"The entrance of the building has been completely destroyed – from the first to the fifth floors. And this is just one Russian missile that brought so much pain, suffering, and loss. This is why Ukraine and the real world need guarantees – guarantees that such evil will be stopped. Reliably. Not just with some words or a few papers, but with what can ensure the absence of Russian terror," said Zelensky.

He emphasized that a prerequisite for achieving peace is air defense and a sufficient number of anti-missiles.

"I am grateful to all the partners who are helping us with this and have a complete understanding of what we need. Patriot, IRIS-T, all types of necessary air defense, the development of drones, and investments in weapons production here in Ukraine – this is the protection of our people's lives, this is the defense of the very idea that peace is possible," stated Zelensky.

The President of Ukraine reminded that during the past week, Sweden, Finland, and Croatia announced packages of assistance to Ukraine.

"We are working to ensure that next week there will be such necessary decisions for Ukraine – decisions to support our state, our people, our army," he emphasized.
