Zelensky and Vucic discussed the potential for more frequent bilateral visits in the future.

On December 26, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that he had a phone conversation with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić to "discuss the development of relations between the two countries."

"I thanked Serbia for its financial and humanitarian support. We coordinated our efforts on our joint path to the EU. President Vucic congratulated the Ukrainian people on the New Year holidays and expressed hope for a swift peace," – wrote Zelensky.

He noted that at the beginning of the week, he accepted the credentials of the new ambassador from Serbia.

"I believe that the resumption of full operations at the diplomatic mission led by the ambassador will contribute to the development of our cooperation," – added Zelensky.

Vucic described the conversation with Zelensky as "substantive and good" regarding "all important issues of bilateral cooperation," reports his website.

"Serbia recently reopened its embassy in Kyiv in the hope that its operations will continue to contribute to improving relations. We discussed the European path of our countries, as well as the possibility of more frequent bilateral visits in the future," – Vucic stated.
