"A just world for us means understanding that we [will] be in the EU and when [we get there], knowing that we have strong and powerful security guarantees. NATO is the best option for us, and we are fighting for it. If not... I would prefer not to comment on alternatives right now. Certainly, any security guarantees without the USA are weak security guarantees for Ukraine. If we take Israeli security guarantees and see how they intercept 200–300–500 missiles without NATO, but with the aviation of allies – the USA, France, the UK, with such a strong air fleet, with air defense that operates not only from Israel, but across all this land... There are many details to these security guarantees. No one has offered such guarantees to Ukraine so far," – said the president.
According to him, a just world for Ukraine includes strong security guarantees that will make it impossible for the illegitimate president of the aggressor state, Russia's Vladimir Putin, to return.
"And then diplomatically return everything if there is such an agreement that diplomacy will work. I don't think Putin wants that, to be honest," – added Zelensky.
