Zelensky: Russia disrupts lives; violating sanctions should be seen as complicity in the war.

Attacks on Ukrainian cities by the aggressor country, Russia, would not be possible without the supply of components from other nations for the production of weapons by the Russians. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a statement following February 1, as reported by his press service.
Зеленский: Россия разрушает жизни других. Нарушение санкций следует рассматривать как соучастие в войне.

Zelensky reminded that on February 1, the occupiers struck Poltava, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Donetsk regions, while on January 31, they targeted Odesa, where "not only Ukrainians were under attack, but even Norwegian diplomats working in Ukraine."

"We must always be absolutely honest about this Russian terror: they would not be able to inflict such damage independently, so intensely and literally every night. Every Russian Shahed, every Russian missile – these are components produced by other countries. 165 strike units in one night of Russian attacks – all these 'Iskanders', 'Kalibrs', and other means of killing – consist of hundreds and even thousands of components from other nations. Countries from Europe, China, and even America," he stated.

According to the President of Ukraine, "without such critical components, Russia would have no ability to disrupt the lives of other nations, thus it is crucial that sanctions are genuinely strong and cannot be circumvented under any circumstances."

"There must not be a single way to supply Russia with critical components for defense production. Violating sanctions should be treated as complicity in the war, and anyone who assists in destroying lives should be held accountable," Zelensky believes.

He expressed gratitude to everyone who helps save lives after Russian shelling and to those who defend Ukrainian skies.

"Right now, we are working to attract more resources from our partners to strengthen the Ukrainian air shield. Protection against shelling is an absolute priority. Much more needs to be done, but every partner in the world who helps with this is a lifesaver. And this is what everyone around the world should be thinking about now: about life, about working together, about putting pressure on the aggressor, and about bringing closer a genuine peace. A peace that Russia will not grant. A peace that can only be squeezed out. We will squeeze it," Zelensky declared.
