The video recording was published on the YouTube channel of the President's Office on January 5.
The President emphasized that in order to open Ukraine's airports, there needs to be "no war, a constant peace, and functioning air defense systems."
"Russia poses a risk, which is why air defense systems are necessary. For instance, taking an air defense system from a shelling city and moving it to the airport would be unfair. People are more important than planes," Zelensky stressed. "But the moment will come, and by the way, I believe the war will end, and President Trump could be the first leader to arrive by plane [in Ukraine]. I think that would be symbolic."
