Zelensky has dismissed Deputy Head of the Presidential Office, Mashovets.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has dismissed Roman Mashovets from his position as Deputy Head of the President's Office. The relevant decree, No. 889/2024, was issued on December 30 and has been published on the president's official website.
Зеленский освободил от должности заместителя главы Офиса президента Машовца.

Reports indicated that Zelensky had specific concerns regarding Mashovets' work, who was overseeing the military direction in the Office of the President.

On November 29, the president appointed the former commander of the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade "Kholodny Yar" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Pavlo Palisa, as Deputy Head of the Office. In commenting on the appointment, the president emphasized that he needed someone who "understands well what is happening in the brigades, at the front," in order to "accurately know daily information directly from the front lines."

Initially, it was planned for Mashovets to oversee international matters while Palisa would handle military affairs, but ultimately Palisa duplicated Mashovets' functions, sources told Radio NV.

According to them, Mashovets may transition to work in the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
