Zelensky stated in the Rada that elections in Ukraine will take place only after peace is achieved.

On November 19, during a speech in the Verkhovna Rada, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that elections will not be held in the country as long as hostilities continue. This was reported on Telegram by Yaroslav Zheleznyak, a member of parliament from the "Golos" party.
Зеленский сообщил в Раде, что выборы в Украине состоятся только после установления мира.

"The Constitution and laws do not allow for elections to be held during wartime. No one in the world is demanding this. Ukraine first needs a just peace, and only then will Ukrainians hold fair elections," he quoted the head of state.

The deputy noted that Zelensky's speech in parliament lasted about one and a half hours, during which time the connection and internet in the Verkhovna Rada were jammed.

Later, MP from "European Solidarity" Oleksiy Honcharenko posted a video on Telegram featuring part of the president's speech.
