At the Dragobrat ski resort in the Transcarpathian region, a tourist tragically lost her life.

This was reported by Mukachevo.net, referencing eyewitness statements on social media. It was noted that the girl was skiing and lost her grip on the tow lift.

"Losing her balance, she fell down and collided with a sharp part of the protective fence," the report states.

As of 22:43 on January 18, there have been no official statements regarding the incident from the Transcarpathian police or the State Emergency Service.

Meanwhile, the publication "Ukrainian Truth" has released a response concerning the incident received from the Transcarpathian police:

"A girl died while skiing."

The circumstances of the tragedy are under investigation.

Fatalities at ski resorts

On January 8, it was reported that a boy died in one of the ski complexes in Lviv region. The child was skiing down the slope, fell, and sustained a severe head injury.

According to law enforcement, the 12-year-old boy from Kyiv was vacationing with his parents. Medical personnel provided assistance, but despite all efforts, he passed away.

Journalist Vitaliy Hlahola reported that the tragedy occurred at the "Plai" ski resort. He noted that the deceased boy was descending the "red-black" slope when he crashed into the protective net at high speed.
