The court has chosen a preventive measure for the husband of Ukrainian blogger Anna Zhuk, also known as Annette, who tragically died in a car accident on January 24 of this year. The incident occurred on the Kharkiv - Kyiv highway. The family was heading to the capital when Vladimir Bilevtsov, who was driving, attempted to overtake and caused the crash.
According to law enforcement officials in the Poltava region, in a comment to the publication "UNN," the court decided to detain the man for 60 days. Moreover, he was denied the possibility of posting bail. It is known that on January 27, he was charged by the police for violating traffic safety rules, which resulted in severe bodily harm.
As a result, Vladimir could face imprisonment. The husband of the deceased is at risk of being sentenced to three to eight years in prison, along with a ban on driving for up to three years.
He was driving a Lexus and attempted to overtake from the right side of the lane, after which he collided with a truck that was stationary and outside the roadway. As a result of the crash, Anna died at the scene from injuries that were incompatible with life. Bilevtsov and the couple's 9-year-old son, who was also in the vehicle, sustained injuries.
Notably, Zhuk actively shared details of her life on Instagram and spoke about helping others. The woman participated in many projects aimed at supporting women and conducted training sessions.
It’s worth mentioning that previously Vladimir Bilevtsov commented for the first time on the tragedy on the highway. He still cannot believe the loss of his beloved and dedicated a heartfelt post to Anna on Instagram.
